5 months post op.

5 months post-op today. March 17th, 2009

Hello all. Today I am 5 months post –op. I would have this surgery over again. I am having some potty issues right now. I went the doctor yesterday ……Doc gave me Miralax and Calcium with Vit-d and magnesium. I am drinking water and getting more liquid protein in. Yet I am not been able to go potty. So she is hoping a combination of Miralax, colace pills, and the new calcium pills will help me go….. I am optimistic. I went from 306, to 309/310 because I am unable to go. See picture below.
Over the past 3 weeks I had a extreme bladder infection. I was given Cipro. Apparently it is gone away, but my urine is still a wee bit dark. The last 3 urine tests (including yesterday) are showing that I have trace levels of Billy rubin. My new doctor is concerned and orders a liver panel. She doesn’t think anything is wrong with my Liver, but she is being safer than sorry. She also ordered a Thyroid Function test. I haven’t had one in awhile. As well as a A1c (glucose) Test. I was already told I wasn’t diabetic anymore. I had a blood test (creatine/ Cortisol) for Cushing’s and took in my 24-hour Urine sample. (UGH). With the darker urine and the dryness of my body… she is thinking I might be dehydrated. I am drinking…drinking…drinking…So when the blood test results come back (hopefully within a week), she will set me up with fluids or meds. I keep peeps updated.

Feet (length)= 11 - .50
Calves = 21.5 - .50
Tummy (length) =19 - .50
Wrists = 7
Total Loss = 50.00 inches (4 ft, 2 inches)
Total gained= 0

I found out on Friday, that my PCP is leaving to be a Derm. OMG...lol needless to say. I was a little miffed. I have been seeing him for 9 years and he is the best. He never sweated me to lose weight in a harsh way. I am going to miss him. So now I have to find a new PCP. I have a doctor in mind, but I have to see if she is accepted patients. I also am going to be tested for Cushings. I have to collect my urine (which I am not happy about) for a 24 hour period, then return it to the clinic and get a blood test. Since I am within 10 mintues of my old clinic I am going to drop it off there and see if I can get an appt with the new doctor. Also my dryer is working order now. After using "Goo Gone", it is working fine. I have some cosmetic damage (inked dyed on drum), but otherwise, it is good. I just finshed re-doing the load with ink on them. I used the new Spray-n-Wash liquid. I hope The ink came out. My week is going to be semi-full. Between Tanning and Curves. Besides phone calls and going to colleges. I hope the weather eases up. We had alot of snow today, then the sun came out and melted it. It was nice. It didnt get dark till 7:00p. That is always nice. Have a great week everyone!!
